I'm looking for the photographer who ventured out to the far North part of the deep playa early Wednesday morning and photgraphed a man wrapped in red and purple sarongs who was sitting on the playa meditating. I was about 30 yards from the far North point by the fence and had a scooter parked beside me. You took my picture from behind then surprised me by coming up beside me and letting me know you were there. We talked and I told you my story about getting to BRC this year. You said you were looking for quintessential playa images and I captured your attention. You took another picture of my face with my sunglasses and sarong wrapped around me before moving on. You gave me a card but I either lost it or it's still in the stuff I haven't unpacked.
That was a very special moment for me and I'd really like to get in touch with you again. If your the one who photographed me or if anyone else knows who the photographer is could you please PM me?
Thanks....and I hope I can find you!!!!

There was a photographer called Larry Labonte clicking away all over the Playa. He had a distinctive bicycle with a round metal face on the front. Ring any bells?

I'm not sure how to say it ....this photog was of Japanese descent and one of the more friendly people I've met out there. I'm still tracking leads on this guy...I hope I can find him.

try "webbery.com" and if not him then try emailing this guy he's a long timer burner and could know him.
A genuine, heartfelt thank you!

I don't know who read this thread and forwarded it along, but thanks to someone's kindness they were able to find the photographer. He contacted me and sent me the images....which to me are breathtaking, spectacular, and beyond any expectation I ever had.
The playa provides, but I was not prepared for a gift like this.
Despite online appearances decompression has been extremely tough this year. I'm facing lots of issues and challenges and the brightness of the playa was replaced with a world of darkness and uncertainty. Thanks to the people that helped me I have a reminder of better days, something to inspire me, and what I consider the best gift from the playa I have ever received.
David, I offer you a sincere thank you for getting in touch with me. And to the anonymous person who made this happen...I appreciate what you did. Thank you too!
