Group Nude Photo from 2003

Back in 03 there was a big group of maybe 50-150 people who took a couple of group nude photos early in the morning, just outside the playa perimeter. The photographer had us give him our contact info so he could send each of us willing participants a copy of the pictures, but I never received my copy. I lost his info, and the 2003 schedule that had his name in it. If anyone has those pics, knows the photographers name, or still has a copy of the 2003 schedule of events that they could look something up for me in-I would really appreciate any help. Thank you for taking the time to read my post, and may the spirit of the burn live on inside you eternally. namaste

No, he took the same type of photo in 2002 I believe. Thank you though.

GROUP NUDE PHOTO SHOOT
8:00am - 9:30am (Friday August 29)
Matthew Schneider is organizing his second annual nude photo shoot. It will be photographed with a large-format camera. We will meet at the Man, walk one mile to the location (bring your bike if you don't want to walk). You will be nude only a few minutes, and will likely receive a signed print.
Hosted by: Matthew Schneider @ the Man
Is this it

But if you do happen to have a copy of the picture, or have any information on Matthew Schneider, please do share. Again thank you very much!!!

Hi guys, you found me!
I am planning to go again this year but haven't decided on doing a photo shoot. The main reason for doing these shoots, is for me to provide something fun that people can participate in, and to give them something that will provide them a lasting memory of their experience that year. Also this is a way for me to participate and give back to the Burning Man community through photography. However, I've run into a few negative aspects:
- No, I'm not Spencer Tunick.
- No, I'm not trying to copy Spencer (I've been doing nudes in the landscape for years, and working with a group of people is a natural extension of my own work).
- Both years I've done this, the friends that were supposed to assist me (two completely separate sets of friends, mind you) stayed up all night doing drugs and were in no shape to help out, leaving me to orchestrate the whole thing myself, which is kind of nerve wracking (and I'm a shy person by nature who is not comfortable being the center of attention).
- Some people were not happy with the results of the 2003 photos because they couldn't recognize themselves in the final image. Part of the problem was that in 2003, I had about 4 times the number of people show up than expected based on 2002.. so the original design was planned out for a lot less people. Anyway kind of the whole point of this is that individuals are there to create an image and kind of lose their individuality within the group..
- It takes a lot of work to print these things and mail them out. And I didn't even cash anyone's checks since not that many people ordered prints (the nominal fee is only to cover me in case 2000 people showed up and all want prints, which then would get expensive). Some of the prints got sent out late, very late, since I was busy with projects at work.
- No, I'm not Spencer Tunick.
So, to make things better this time around:
- Find some more reliable friends or arrange for some volunteers to help out ahead of time.
- Pick a design that will work better with an unknown number of participants, or have a couple of designs to pick from based on how many people show up.
So what do you guys think, is this worth doing again this year? Let me know your thoughts, either through email or on this forum.

I would love to see you return to the playa. I was in the 2003 photo, but in the shuffle lost out on signing up. I'm pleased to see that the pictures turned out so well.
This kind of event is a lot of fun, in part due the positive statement that it makes about the body. I'm sure that it's a bit of a pain to have to explain to everyone that Spencer does not have a patent on group nude photos, but I'm rather glad that this kind of art is far from exclusive.
Anyway, whatever you decide, thanks for coming in past years!

Woohoo! I finally got a chance to see the photos I took part in, though I don't recall doing the crouching shot. Thanks for the info and the link!
