Hello from Cork! :)

Hello future friend!

Birgin here, really really excited to be joining you in just a few months' time! I'm a 26 year old Dutchman living in Cork, Ireland, and I'll be flying to and then driving in from San Fran.

I'm soloing, looking to join a camp but if that doesn't happen I'm sure this is still going to be a mind-expanding, life-changing experience :) If you do happen to know a camp that's fun, loving and spiritually-leaning (like say a buddhist camp? :D ) let me know!

See you on the playa :)

Welcome Noud,
I'm excited for your first trip to BRC. there's nothing like it in the world.
You don't really need a theme camp, but look around and you may find a perfect fit.
Read up a bit on the First Timers Guide and The Preparation guide in my signature below.
You could also join your local burner group and meet some folks before heading to the US.
I hope you take some time to look around on eplaya for some useful information and spirited conversations going on.

See you in the dust,

Hey there, welcome to ePlaya!
When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Hello also from Cork!

Cork burner here, flying to LA this time out, but did SF last year!

you don't necessarily need a camp but it certainly helps as a birgin! either way - you will have the time of your life!

If I can do anything for you here in Cork pre-burn, drop me a PM and we can link up!

Hello Noud ,
i am doing the same thing but from france
,I am a 50 years young easy going French Photographer, and `i live in Toulon, south of France, but am immigrating to Australia sometime next year.
I am married to a New zealander lady for the last 18 years so english is like my first language. I will be coming solo and I am also a seasoned builder, (New Zealand standard) so I can be a dab hand with the spirit level and hammer if required and I don t mind a bit of hard work.. Most artists need a second income at times!

I also love preparing food for others on my own ,or as part of a team.

This will be my first Burn so I am very exited and a bit nervous and at the same time, so being in a camp would be ideal for me. Travelling from such a long way (France) is a bit of a stretch... on the budget so I'd be looking at any way I can cut this down. Maybe helping with the set up of the camp and arriving early and maybe catching a lift from San francisco to black rock to avoid hiring a car or hiring a car and giving a lift to people going to the burn and sharing costs.
