You can do it!
1 Reach out to your Burning Man Regional:
https://regionals.burningman.org/region ... h-america/ and subscribe to all their socials and announcements. Make friends with local burners in person.
2 Learn up on tickets:
https://tickets.burningman.org/ and you may be eligible for low income tickets. You may find tickets through personal relationships with your regional. Burningman is not like other festivals, there is a massive shortage of tickets
3 Start planning your transportation. Your regional may be able to help with advice or even sharing a vehicle. Each vehicle entering requires a vehicle pass. The more passengers per vehicle the better! There is also the Burner Express Bus on the burning man website if you can get to Reno/SF/
4 Make out a budget and a packing list. Search for "burning man packing list" then customize it to you. If you camp in your area or go to camping festivals you are most of the way there! Also the more outfits, if you do outfits, the better! If you can share sizes all the better. Comfortable footwear. Non-fancy bikes with a super lock are hugely essential and hard to transport.
Though the regional is in Vancouver, I can guarantee there are burners very close to you.
Eplaya has a lot of posts you can search on food, shade, packing lists, traveling from BC-Seattle, how to keep the wind from blowing away your tent, shade, grey water, and many other things.
