Share Your Life Experience At The Human Curiosity Library at Center Camp

Camp Curiosity is seeking volunteers for our Human Curiosity Library at Center Camp. Volunteers will act as “open books,” answering questions and engaging in dialogue about unique aspects of their life experiences. These events are designed to foster greater understanding and authentic sharing between Burners, inviting participants to explore the stories of fellow BRC citizens and look beyond stereotypes and assumptions.

We are specifically looking for Burners to share first-person experiences on topics such as addiction, disabilities, ethnicity, family dynamics, relational diversity, gender and sex, health challenges, lifestyle, mental health, neurodiversity, ideology, occupation, religion, sexuality, social status, and victim/survivor stories.

Training takes place online before the Burn and includes a 90-minute self-paced video course and a 60-minute practice session via Zoom. There is also a 30-minute pre-event orientation across the street from Center Camp at Camp Curiosity in BRC.
