I'm happy to be here! I had my first burn this year, and I can't stop thinking about it! I can't wait to go back!

Hello Owl,
I'm glad you finally made it out to the Black Rock Desert. If you were there on Saturday, you got quite the windy/dusty welcome. I brought 2 first timers with me, and really enjoyed seeing everything through their perspective. Burning Man 2026 is just 10 short months off. Time to finish unpacking and cleaning your gear to get ready for your next trip.

Yup, it gets better every year!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

I feel like I kinda got a half burn. I didn't even get in until like monday night, and then the rain didn't stop until thursday, and I was out Sunday afternoon. I need a redo! Also now that I've been there, I feel like my future adventures are gonna be way better!

That's the spirit! The weather is part of the experience and the hilarity that can ensue. One of my best years was constant dust. There are dust storms every year and rain every other or so (a little or a lot). Two 8-hour storms--2008. it was then that I first made true Burner friends because I crossed the street with a bottle of champagne and my goggles on and got very dusty with strangers. Once early in the week, multiple times across the street. Friends to this day. Very grateful for them in my life.

Take plastic bags and duct tape for your feet, and you can go anywhere without creating playa platform shoes.

Love your username. :D
