Why hello there.

Post by Creek_Walker » Sun Dec 13, 2009 8:28 pm

Hey everyone!

i have been wanting to go to burning man for quite some time now. Im going to be traveling from northern Virginia (or DC if you prefer) in my 1976 VW camper bus. Right now im looking for vw mechanics/vw bus clubs that can help me out along the way (just in case it breaks down on me). if you know of anybody who could assist me PLEASE let me know!

Welcome CW.

I strongly recommend something stronger than a toon town vehicle.

Do you know about the regionals?

There are some options for vw vans.

There was, and may still be, a VW Bus group that camped together every year. I have no idea where you might track them down.

You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss the floor.

Also dont forget to pack, Bailing wire, wirecutters, duct tape, Bread ties, and make sure your all tuned up before take off.

Are you water cooled or air cooled?

Look up the latest info on keeping whichever one you are in top running condition!
