Newbie Burner in search of.....!
Hi there! Newbie burner, looking for new friends! About me.....
I've been using a fire hoop for around three or four years, just learning bellydance and fire fans. I drive a mean 4x4, and lifted it myself, so I am very handy with a good collection of tools. I'm a very good artist and sculptor. I basically have a lot of skills I wish to contribute to a fun group, and I want nothing more than to be A PART of something CREATIVE and beautiful with amazing new friends, for year-round exploration and adventures, as well as preparing for my inevitable pilgrimage to Burning Man!
Resident of Long Beach, highly mobile, kind-hearted and sociable. That's all I can think of offhand.
Hoping to hear from you all soon. :-)

Welcome Terra.
(I'm now gonna tear you limb from limb, just because that's a currently popular sport around here. Nothing personal.)
So you are a great creative artist with lots of skills, eh.... Then perhaps you ought to post some of your Stuff in your introduction?
We get these "empty" introductions all the time. A while back, someone announced that he was a poet. But he announced it in boring prose. So we challenged him to post some of his poetry. He did. Now we know him much better!
You can toss in age, gender and musical preferences while you are at it, but you "birgins" all really need to put some of your art in your introductions. It's an Art Festival!
(Rant over.)

Musical preferences...... I'm kind of all over the place. I just spent the day listening to Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller and Sinatra. I also love Soul Coughing, Rammstein, acid techno, and opera. I know. Creepy.
I have some pictures of my lovely Yeep when the new tires went on after I lifted her, but I'm not sure which server they're on. I build websites, btw.
Better?
:)

Something tells me you'll fit in juuuust fine. I'm sure you've looked up the Los Angeles Fire Conclave but just incase you could look into it. I hear they have a healthy number of members at Burning Man. I've never met them myself....
And other than that, welcome! Have fun and I'm sure you'll have the time of your life this summer on the playa.
And naturally you are welcome around here. Just be prepared for snark, comedy, graphic portrayal of human culture, and at least a few inappropriately clothed breasts. Good times since I started wasting it on the forum.

It was better next year. -Burners

You can camp with us. If you do, we will be up to 5 peeps. The mix will at that point include -one boy, one fire spinner, one artist and at least two people with creepy musical taste.
