No one in here. It was one person and I can't rember the name or any specific post. If I recall, the person has issues with a few posters. If you took that personally, I'm sorry.

When I said it was a vast minority, I meant one person -- maybe two -- out of all the people who post. I have my share of asinine and/or judgemental posts and comments as well, so maybe I mean myself.

I'm a total FNG here and BRC. All I know is what I read here or the website. I don't pretend to know everything or even most things.

this is ridiculous, this conversation went from trying to find help in Sacramento to calling each other noobs. i have to say this is childish. we all know i am the noob who started this stupid post. what the post was intended to do was to find local burners to help make a MV out of whats already there. it may be my first burn but it doesnt mean i cant take a risk and try to do something outrageous and my mind is super glued, duct taped, tie strapped, and pinned down on making a MV, but hey maybe ill take it to the 2012 burn instead.
another year and a quarter may do wonders for my MV.

Lucideo, don't let yourself be upset, Mister. Look at the big picture. On the average message board, an average thread featuring:

* a very ambitious newbie not looking before he leaps, and
* a flock of veterans of any subculture

. . . would degenerate into viciousness and name-calling, and never would there be an apology or olive branch from either side. I am very impressed by the restraint exhibited in this thread, and that at the age of 18 you are able to apologize where needed and/or listen to advice. Good on ya.

Whatever you decide to do this year, I hope you read plenty of ePlaya and start reading the other parts of the site, and post about how your Burn went when you get back.
