Lesbian couple from Sacramento CA
Hello all,
We enjoyed a rushed first year last year and are excited to be spending the whole week this year. We are a couple married for 2 years. We love to laugh and have fun. We are looking for other lesbians to spend time with on the playa maybe even a lesbian camp or lesbian friendly camp. This year should be really exciting and I hope to meet lots of new friends and have some great nights.

must resist......no.....no.....down.....happy place happy place.....breathe....
calm.........exhale.......
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
i apologize for the thoughts that were almost typed...they were negative and unconstructive, and so therefore a detriment to all concerned.
i am NOT writing this under duress and there is NOT a huge bull-dyke with a baseball bat standing behind me as i type this. This is of my own free will and volition, and the Indigo girls Rock.
now i think i'll go adopt a korean baby, name it zoe, and drive it around in my teal colored pick-up truck.

They're probably not lesbians - more likely just boys! Common on eplaya but spread out on the playa so as not to be soooo obnoxious.
Black Rock City is probably one of the most GLBT-friendly places in the US. But it still needs a Pride Parade. This year will be the second year for the Pride Parade which started after a nasty incident of redneck behaviour in 2007.

Yes, most certainly since it demonstrates capacity to learn and accept new ideas!SilverOrange wrote:Are educated and somewhat enlightened rednecks alright?
Thanks for the heads up, SO. That explains why the boys in the know were acting like boys. And by the way this is an old thread resurrected by a very sneaky spammer...just so you know.

Seems maybe I should clarify my use of the term redneck. OR never use the word again.
Redneck is a negative stereotype and it is wrong for me to use it to describe the people who were hurtful toward the gay camp in 2007 and which resulted in the first GLBT pride parade in 2008.
Help me, if you will, to find another way to describe people who would hurt other humans in this way. What's a better word than "redneck".
Every kind of person is welcome at Burning Man. I really do believe in radical inclusion and I guess that's why this thread ticked me off a little. But since SO has stated this was just a troll, I guess I should just ignore the nasty chatter about lesbians.
I'm a little sensitive to negative stuff against GLBT people. I have two brothers and one son who are gay. In our society, it is still not safe to be "out" and my family members have experienced incredibly hurtful and damaging harassment even physical violence. And this has come from others who joke around just like you guys were doing.
I apologize for not realizing that this was all a joke. Forgive me for being serious. Carry on, and fuk yer day, as KK would say.
