I've been hearing about BM for a while, and I hope to attend in a couple of years. I plan early retirement, and my wife would retire two years after me. That's two years that I can do stuff I'd like to do, but she'd hate. Trust me, she'd hate Burning Man, so I have a short window of opportunity to get there.

I don't know what kind of housing is allowed, but I have an old sailboat I can use as a camper, or I can sleep in my vehicle. I can travel pretty light.

I live in South Louisiana, where it's hot and very humid. I don't know what to expect in a desert, but what the heck, that's what hats are for.

In 2011 look for a short, middle-aged amputee with a real peg leg (I really need to finish building that thing).

That's me on the left, with wife and auntie...

If you have an honest to goodness peg-leg then you really have to find a pirate camp to call home. It lends credibility to their entire camp...

Housing options are pretty much wide open as long as you don't dig holes or dump anything on the ground.
Living in a sailboat would be really cool! It might be a pain to get in and out while on a trailer, and if it has an overboard-draining sink you'd need to set up a way to catch and contain it, but otherwise it'd be very stylish!
Oh, and you wouldn't want to put up the sail (for extra style points or shade) because the frequent windstorms would make you into a kite.

I live in LA, but know a bunch of NO burners, hit me with an email and I can put you in contact with some convincing folks from your area. and yes, you will be kicking yourself with your peg leg if you don't come to the playa soon, very soon!!!!!!!
