I like the first part of the week best.
It is harder to park later.
Just look further out from the center and there will be space.
The loud ends of the city are at the outer edges- at each end.
You can't park in theme camps or places someone else is using.
Make sure you're compatible with the people in your area, such as loudness and so on.
If you aren't going to run a generator more people will want to camp near you.
Some places will have a lot of RVs.
Easy to park there.
Most people go out and wander around to do things, so it doesn't matter much where you camp, except for sleep.

So you are the proverbial "Wild and Crazy guys...Looking for some American foxes" ?
You guys HAVE read the survival guide yes?
http://www.burningman.com/preparation/e ... /index.html
You know after the 3rd day we take down all the street signs so the latecomers won't know where they are.
Don't forget to cover the logos on your RV.

To err is human. It takes a computer to really screw up.

well, we 'll try to arrive as soon as possible, to have this "cross cultural experience" with all our neightburs and not! ( maybe if you like a dish of real spaghetti come in, no reservation need !!! the rv for us was the wiser option , it's not so easy yo organize your first burningman from 10.000km away as a part of a bigger tour! ( how to organize an installation passing the luggage restrictions for example...) i don't know if we are so typical( usually italians here have other "more common" holidays..) but we are sure to enjoy the spirit of the community and to be deeply in the theme : this will be our american dream ! :) any advice more ? hope to see soon everybody, have a nice time !!!!
Most people won't be paying too much attention to the theme.
You may bring a different spin to it though.
Any italian food will probably go over well.
Any moist food tends to taste better on the playa than anywhere else, due to lack of humidity.
Italian wedding soup is a huge hit out there when done well.
You may call it something else?
Minestra maritata?
I have yet to find an italian dish I don't like.
I remember going into cafeterias on the autostrada and Firenze and looking at the choices, and just saying Okay! Everything!
Burning man will be everything you expect, only different.
What area are you from?
If this is your first time coming to the usa, I hope you're aware that hollywood wildly misrepresents things, especially california.
I met many people in the south whose idea of california was much more fun than the real thing.
Many driving Camaros too, for some reason.

continuing in introducing myself...
well, maybe we can try to cook something for the comunity, despite we are all bad chef...but a good dish of pasta it's not so difficult.
we are from the north, torino, the city of the last olympic winter games.
i've been to california this winter, travelling alone in the most classic spot : los angeles , san diego san francisco , las vegas...and i've been to ny some yeasrs ago : thi time burningman, hoping to discover another part of usa.
my friend and I are very excited for this "hard desert proof" and we'd like to offer our little contribution to brc : so who do you like adopt 4 italian guy in change of pasta ? this will be our first swap !!!! :)
have a good time !!!

I hope you make the whole week.
Keep in mind it's at altitude of 4000 feet and dry.
Bring good goggles for dust.
Read the survival guide.
If you want anyone to find you, register at playa info on the computers when you get there and be very specific about locations.
The flag is a great landmark.
Don't forget where your camp is, when you go out.
You need lights on yourself at night, bright ones flashing.
I suggest a good headlamp too.
If you have time, see if you can find solid aluminet where you are.
They quit importing it into the usa.
Northern food would be great.
Don't see as much of that here.

I get there as early as I can.
Some think early monday morning so the first rush at midnight is over, but I don't know what works best.
I think 2-3 am monday morning was mentioned.
The more serious people arrive early.
It gives you a chance to meet the neighbors.
The city is easier to see, less traffic.

Hey Guilio!
rvs are great for a nap, but you'll be venturing far and wide. C'mon by The Livers End with that tequila, and we'll turn it into a special drink for you and whomever till the bottle's gone.
Our location will be in playa info. Hope your girlfriend won't mind if you want to do a body-shot or two.
