new burner from illinois/michigan!

Post by becoming trees » Sun Oct 19, 2008 7:22 am

hello!
i suffer severe wanderlust everyday of my life. i am constantly searching for new places to go, new things to see, and so on. i will be 20 at next burning man, and i have been wanting to go for a while . . . so i will be!
i have traveled more outside of my country than within it, so i am excited to be seeing some natural beauty within the united states.
i come with no expectations but to see something new. that is all i can expect from anything.
i live in grand rapids (and before that chicago). however, come june i will be somewhere else. maybe vermont, maybe oregon, who knows, somewhere pretty with mountains is all i can know for sure.
i am a gypsy at heart, and i'm trying to balance my nomadic tendencies within an anti-nomadic society.
i do a lot of different things, and most people think i'm somewhat insane for taking on a lot of stuff (art projects, sewing projects, volunteering, working, learning, reading, writing, making music, and so on.) i feel i don't do enough!
i am looking forward to a new adventure! any and all advice is welcome! i have been reading over all the recommended readings, and other intro posts, but just in case. =]

also, i have heard of marching bands at burning man?
this perks my ears as i've played clarinet for close to 10 years and was once a band nerd. =p

(god, i love it when they're all fresh and juicy.)

yeah yeah yeah, welcome home, la dee da...pack it in and out and in and out, leave no tracing paper, radical self-abuse the whole nine inches.

another acolyte looking to get bukkakified by the giant sperm from the man.

this is a giant ASS FUCKING party so you better lube up, and stretch your sphincter before you ride, pardner. alkali and rectal tearing just dont go together.

Now that you've been warned as to what exactly will happen to that clarinet if you bring it, i'm sure you'll get the valve grease out and start practicing with something smaller, like a recorder, or flute.

i am just kidding, now go out there and have some mind-blowing fun and meet all kinds of really wonderful people.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Welcome home BT :D Watch out for that Simon character, he can, well, maybe not can but IS, a certifiably snarky one, why yes, yes he is

We just had Decomp over in South Haven, did you hear about it/make it out?
Both the D and Chi-town have a great burner scene. Decomp was the first collaboration, next summer is a regional at the same place, Lakes of Fire.

Check it out. Don't know much about the GR burner scene, but have met peeps from southern Michigan, K-zoo and Lansing for exp.

If your planning to go to the burn, read my brother, read till your brain turns to mush, or you start babbling like Simon :P
Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.
