2009 map?

Postby Sarge » Sat Jun 27, 2009 3:46 pm

I'm Sarge, a lute player and lover of early music.

Also a BM newbie.

I'm looking for a map of the 2009 Burning Man site.

Is it available somewhere?

If you are satisfied at a general idea of this year's map it should be very similar to 2007. The street names and some of the details will be changed but they have used the same basic plan for years. It was changed last year by making the didtance from the Man to the Esplinade larger but this year they should be going back to the 2007 size.

we are looking for some strings at barbarian camp ... so far we have a big drum, and some wind instruments, and bells ... BUT we are not musicians! we would love a lute, and some guidance ...

You haven't been looted til you're been luted by a luthenist.
Just try to keep the thing tuned up on teh playa.

I guess you heard flutes seem to be traditional.
A practical use for birds too.

I'm trying to get my friend to let me borrow his laser harp. It's pretty cool but takes a lot of power. you break the beam and it plays the pitches.
