Doug, Doug, Doug...
I understand you are a barbarian and all, but, no, not the whole pansy thing. I don't want to run that into the ground again, but none of that cheap homophobic slurring, please.

Fishy: I think Doug was just asking what sort of flower...like Littleflower......
and, we all know she can take him..........with one arm tied behind her....she's that tough.....and still uses "flower" in her name.......

Rose, iris, begonia, petunia--well maybe not petunia--magnolia, fuscia, lily, thistle...and hundreds others. If "Pansy" isn't meant in that way, Dougly had plenty other options, and he should have thought it through better.

Post by lovingflower » Mon Aug 17, 2009 10:19 pm

thanks for all the replies

so about me, i'm a young female aries who enjoys the ocean, crevices in the midwest, smoking cigarrettes, listening to music, massage, reiki, all types of hippie bullshit and sage.

yes i can be a pansy, i guess the virtual realm brings that out in me. it's wierd. safety in awkwardness.

what can i say?

oh yeah i'm a rose. a rose a rose. just a rose.

anyhoo,
i haven't fully examined the survival guide but i will. the old man is getting me all fixed up but i'm at this point of like

well goddammit i have really just been feeling like a pansy lately.

hidin here and there stumblin around, this and that.

but NO more of this! it's silly.

fear is so ugly man.

i hope that the sun bakes the fear out of me

What a delicate little flower the pansy is. No surprise it was chosen as a homophobic slur in times past.

Real pansies wilt in the desert, hope you're prepared. You did ask for gentleness, didn't you? :)

Oh and of course welcome home.

Pansy. ;)

You know very true. pansies wilt and although the pansy will wilt i will persevere into .... something

who knows what i will be

perhaps you may emerge not so barbaric

it's a thought

as for the homophobic reference i honestly don't understand

and as for gentleness it was just a sexual reference....

although my daily horoscope did recommend gentleness today

Welcome lovingflower to the strange little world that is burning man, made even more stranger by the ever growing absence of our un-official greeter JK (where is that wascally wabbit anyway?)

Lot of fun in these here parts, knowledge, snark, wit, sarcasm. Gotta toughen ya up for the burn....

So yer old man got you into going to the burn eh? Ygmir told ya once, I'll repeat it, read the survival guide, alot. Read the first timers guide, whatever you can find on the net.

You mentioned joining a tribe, check out the burning man tribe, among others related to the burn on, well, Tribe.

Viola wittrockiana sounds a little better, doesnt it UD?
Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

P.S. Just kidding, Dougly. Seeing as how you're the leader of our group, and my ride to BM and back, and all :).

Hey littleflower,
Swing by the Golden Cafe sometime. Ask for Igneouss and I'll see that you get some sort of exotic beverage.

Cheers!
