New to Burning man, Can I just play?

Post by dubbroc » Mon Dec 07, 2009 12:08 pm

My uncle is inviting me to BM and I am very excited. I play guitar, can I just hop into any drum circles and start playing music along or do I have to know someone in the circle or theme?

it all depends on the circle. some drum circles may actually take offene to accoustic instruments, or expect you to follow some sort of theme.

others would absolutely love having a guitar in the mix.

id suggest learning the "style" of guitar where you strum once or twice then slap the guitar a few times to the beat.

No acoustic music allowed. All music is played remotely by third parties under specific licensing contracts, in even-tempered scales only.

um, actually larry only gives out "cash" for blowjobs or cocaine. Not only that, you can only spend them at Brunos. either way, you're fucked.
