Hey folks. My roomie discovered BM online, and we have been planning for 2010 since.
I love the outdoors and look forward to the challenge of the playa environment. Saw some pics of cool art, and i love the community and eco-friendly ethic. I love bonfires and new interesting things, so this sounded like a great trip for me to take.
I am no artist, and don't have a theme camp idea or costume planned, but I look forward to helping build something(s).
Roomie and I are also looking into local burner groups for practice and a fun experience we can have closer to the present.
Hope to party with a bunch of you soon.

Welcome....Now go read the survival guide and the first timers guide....

Remember that this forum is not the playa, but the Eplaya...and because alot of us spend 365 days here, we're not always rose petals and honey.
Take all snark with a grain of salt, unless your being a douche bag, then you deserve a tongue lashing!
If your being a good B'irgin, you might get the better version of said tongue lashings!

I've read those two guides, and I'd love to do instead of look forward.
I'm meeting with ks burners soon, will go to their event .
I think I'll be a good B'irgin. I may be a little too excited though, I've been talking about going to BM with just about everybody I know no matter how little they care.
I spent more money on stuff for my own BM trip than I did on Christmas presents this season. I'm not a Christian or anything, but I still feel a bit selfish.

Heck, I used to do that every year, without the burn as an excuse. Although, the clever thing may have been to wait until after Christmas to buy your stuff--see what kind of post-xmas sales there were. Of course, after chirstmas sales are so 1980s...Zhiv wrote: I spent more money on stuff for my own BM trip than I did on Christmas presents this season. I don't think you can be too excited. I didn't sleep for over 24 hours before my first burn. I still get excited. Go with an open mind, and I hope its a life changing experience! Best of luck, and welcome home!...almost...Zhiv wrote:I've read those two guides, and I'd love to do instead of look forward.
