Ciao burners!

Post by Kenatt » Mon Feb 01, 2010 11:36 am

Hi, I'm Francesco from Italy and I just bought my ticket for my first Burning Man, really looking forward to be there!
Probably I'll come alone but I understood that it won't be a problem at all :D ..I'm just wondering how to organize myself, since I'm coming directly from Italy and I won't have a car..I know there's a bus from Reno but do you think I can carry all the stuff that I'll need alone?

See you on the playa!!

There will be a ride share board up soon, and you can probably find a ride with others going out.

The bus isn't a regular bus, be sure you read all the details about it. It is a private enterprise, not government transportation.

You could aways rent a car, depending on your age and whether you have a credit card, etc., etc. I grew up on public transportation, and it's often inconvenient.

And if she's talking about San Francisco, they have some of the best public transport here.
In most of the country, it's not so much inconvenient as non-existent.

They continue to cut service here.
Downhill since at least 1953, yet the population has increased radically.

Welcome.
