Belated Salutations..

Post by Blompson » Sun Feb 14, 2010 3:40 am

I've been lurking the eplaya for over a year now, and I've started posting within the last few months..

I'd like to officially state that the plethora of information available on these boards completely saved my ass and got me as prepared as possible for my first burn (last year). thank you, everyone, for making the eplaya (and the real playa) what it is!

Anyway, I just realized that I never posted a proper "intro", and I'm starting to feel like I accidentally dodged the greeters' station.

So here I am!
Hi everyone

Well met, Loricy! In your words I'm seeing a realization of "What's the point of radical inclusion if I won't allow myself to be included". Do I have that right? You're a great example to the lurkers who are reading this with their finger over the scroll button:

If we respond to you positively: welcome!
If we respond to you negatively: welcome!
If we don't respond to you, we're just showing you what you're like... welcome!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Yes, well said. As I see it, posting a late introduction is a little silly, but I'd much rather feel silly than feel hesitant to announce my presence. Besides, my very first post was in the lost/found for my bicycle.. What kind of lame, depressing intro is that?

I like the snark sharks, although I find myself sometimes nervous about posting for fear of being bitten by them. Still, I guess that's a fair price to pay for the level of entertainment and helpful information this board turns up regularly.

thanks, all, for the warm welcome

Hi Loricybin!

Glad you decided to post your belated hellos. This place certainly has lots of informative stuff floating around in it.

I must say that I truly enjoy seeing all the new faces around lately.

I'll second that! The "Usual Gang of Idiots" is made up of truly extraordinary individuals, but fresh blood helps to keep things interesting.

Welcome!

Welcome and don't worry about getting bitten by the snark sharks. The wounds heal quickly if you tend to them properly.

I've actually thought of putting one up.
