Kiwi returns home via Burning Man...
Hey all
So I'm a Kiwi that's been living in Canada 4 years, been living in Saskatchewan for much of that time. You know the story.....meet someone....fall in love.....move across the world for them......doesn't work out.....
It's time to return home, but I couldn't do so without having experienced Burning Man. So I am taking in the festival on my way down through the States to San Fran where I fly back to NZ! What a perfect way to finish my North American adventure.....though I suspect that once I've had a taste of BM, I'll be back.
Can't wait to meet all you people and engage in spontaneous acts of art, music and randomness.
PK x

welcome PK.........
please, read the first timers and survival guides on the main site. in fact, I might suggest, you study them.........
there is a lot of info here in the archives. I'd also suggest, taking the time to read through the threads that address your specific concerns.........
Bling did this, we're lovin' our Bling.........
now, for me the real question:
A Kiwi in Canada....is that Nice2 (nice squared)?............
or, is it an order of magnitude, on the "nice-o-meter"?

Seem to remember a large Kiwi and Australian turn out a couple years ago. Maybe your bad luck was just getting you out here, for Burning man. Hell of a lot easier from canadia than New Zealand! Its incedible how many people come to that dry little desert from all over the world. Welcome Kiwi!
anything worth doing is worth overdoing..

Hi PK - your post jumps out at me coz I'm up to try it too
I'd love to experience BM on my way back to Sydney from Ireland
Maybe us Antipodeans can support one another in our "Virgin" BM experience ... no offence meant here, I've borrowed the term from ConFest which is an Oz Festival I'm TOTALLY sold on http://www.dte.org.au/
Hope to see you there :)

Its nice to meet you PrairieKiwi,
Aww, what a sweet way to end a stay on another continent!
O you are too correct! After you leave Burning Man you might get stuck in San Fran for three more years. Ya might as well cancel your flight home now.
