Newbie Burner Introduction and Seeking Advice

Hey all. As the world becomes more and more homogenious (sp?), I've made it a goal to seek out and engage in things that remain distinctly different for as long as they are still around. Burning Man has always been really high on that list.

I am gay and a social nudist. There are now 2 other members of a local nudist group looking to make the trip.

Already I've received what seems to be good advice from a number of prior burners via the Internet. Any and all advice is welcome.

I've heard that the experience can be greatly enhanced by being a part of a theme camp so I am asking if anyone has recommendations for theme camps that would be welcoming to gay, social nudists. If so, please let me know. We'd be willing to participate in any way we can.

BTW: Just to be clear... sex is cool, but that's not what I am asking for. I just want to be a part of a nice/cool group of people with whom we can share and bond that would be accepting of us both being gay and naked.

being gay at BM is nothing new, and theres hundreds of theme camps. Some actively recruit and others are more selective and use a sort of nomination sponsor type system.

Keep reading the eplaya and BM main site. Many of your answers are there.

Check out the "Theme Camps 2010" threads in the ePlaya Forum Index...pick a few that appeal to you and start corresponding with them...NOW...before they fill up!

I can tell you that of the many, many camps I've associated with over the years they have all been welcoming...

You have nothing to worry about! Gay and naked would me my least two worries.
Except for maybe too things (or at least two things that scare me about being naked)
1.Cooking next an open flame, hot grease, knives....(kitchens)
2.Sun Burns
But if your naked a lot maybe these two don't bother you.

Black Rock City is one of the few places that you can be comfortable being you... Dress any way you like! (Just do not forget to put suntan lotion on the sensitive bits, you probably do not want _that_ to be hurtin....) Gender orientation is irrelevant. Just have fun, take care of yourself, and you will be fine. Do not forget to read the survival guides!!

I have camped with straight, gay, freaks, and weirdo's ... Never had any serious issues.

I am a firm believer that all bacon should be served nude. Bacon in its natural state is always the best--nice and crispy and served HOT!

I am not sure what "I am a Polyamourous Ambisexual Domme Nudist" is, but I would like to join this camp.

Ah, not just served nude, but the pleasure of watching the better half cook bacon in the nude has always been of great joy. but sadly.... those were the days before microwave cooking.
