Just Learned about Burning Man

Post by greatfox82 » Sat Jun 19, 2010 7:13 am

Hey everyone i was spending another night not sleeping and stumbling on the internet out of sheer boredom. When stumble led me to the burning man page. Needless to say i was quite intrigued and since i have plenty of vacation hours im debating if i should go this year or not. Im from miami and most of my friends out here prolly wouldnt go to something like this cause well they suck and they'll just come up with lame excuses (Im broke, I have school, or work etc.) lol. Anyway Im very much interested in meeting a few people who plan to go this year and that could help me plan this adventure. If anyone wants to know me look me up on facebook Francisco Malagon (im the one with the huge hair) anyway feel free to drop me a line. I look forward to meeting a bunch of new people. Oh feel free to ask me anything my lifes pretty much an open book. Laters Looking forward to all your responses.

The Great Fox :)

You could go this year but it maybe better to wait. It really depends on if you think in less than 3 months you can plan a trip to the desert without any connection to the outside world and be comletely self-reliant. Read the Survival Guide and these posts. And trust me, just when you think you have it figure out, someone will mention something you never thought of.

See you in ten weeks and two days!!!

Damn, you've been chuging the cool-aid. It's just a camping trip with better medical and ESD departments than most places in this country.

Breathe in, pause, breathe out.

Remember that kids book, "The Little Engine That Could"? I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.
Start reading these threads, the survival guides and start gathering your nuts.
Welcome and let us know if you are actually going to pull this off. I'll check back on this thread to watch your progress.

I think that describes it nicely. Over-planning is still better than under-planning.
It was better next year. -Burners
