Hya peeps,

Just wanted to say hy and ask a question that most of you may know the answer to.....

What are the hottest times of the day in black rock..... Just wondering when is the best time to get some shade and chill out and when is the best time to go out exploring the playa........

Daytime--afternoon--is the hottest time.

This is my first burn...and I think it's safe to assume that for one week I'm are going to turn my daily schedule on its ear. From diurnal to nocturnal. I think.

I like to venture out from under my shade to look at it during the day. It's fun. I go many times. You could do it earlier, but it just gets hot so fast that, unless you go out at first light, you're just gonna' get hot. You probably have a few hours. Use sunscreen and/or be covered and have enough water and a good hat. Use your fat tired bike. Things really look different during the day.

I actually thought it was more comfortable on my bike with the breeze than in camp under my crappy shade structure, lol. Just make sure you have a nice wide brimmed hat, sun glasses, and water with you.
