virgin no longer
Hello everyone, 2010 was my first burn and I can't wait to go back. Or maybe I'll never go back. I think I now have a love/hate relationship with the playa. It is a place of extremes, but I can be a person of extremes, and I'm just coming to grips with that aspect of who I am. Burning Man taught me so much about myself yet I didn't always like what I learned. But there is always time to grow, and change, and hence I'm inspired by next year's art theme: Rites of Passage. As an ex-Catholic, I have deep understanding of the power of rituals, and I both reject the need for yet somehow crave these outwards signs of inner transformation.

Hi Tom, thanks for the welcome! Love your sig: "anything worth doing..is worth overdoing" and have you heard this one:
"If things seem under control, you are just not going fast enough." (Mario Andretti)
Yes I'll be at decompression on Sunday, thinking about it was what reminded me to join this board. Let's hope for good weather.
