Well, if you've been reading the boards, you know that you better go to the theme camp sub-forum and post a thread about how wonderful and chill you are and how you want someone to offer you a camp where you can dj.
That's how we all started out.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Kudos on actually reading the site! My hats off to anyone who does their research. There will always be surprises, no matter how prepared you think you are. Even now, every year I learn something new or figure out another way to do it better.
See you on the other side!

Welcome Zorsha!
Spent a few weeks up in Portland during the first part of the year. There are a lot of burners up there!
Are you taking the adventure alone or with experienced friends?
Learn everything you can from ePlaya it has a lot to offer that you wont find in the survival guide, not to say that you shouldn't read the survival guide- cause its called the Survival Guide for a reason.

Welcome to the ePlaya.
Self-reliance is highly valued by most ePlayans

My burning man experiences helped to redefine who I am and what I do. I wouldn't say "It Changed Me", but I know it was positive.
Keep reading, researching and getting ideas. Try to keep your expectations to a minimum and above all else SIMPLE. Once you have a burn behind your belt and a better idea of what the playa is really like, go wild...
See ya on the playa!!
Love Rice
Welcome! Congratulations on planning to attend your first Burn.
There's a large Burner community up there. Take advantage of it!

Burning Man isn't about the stuff you see when you get there ....it's about the people that brought that stuff there
