Dear all fellow burners/future friends,

My name is Madeline, I'm 22yrs old and I've just arrived in the US, all the way from Melbourne, Australia! (Honestly, I did not realise how far away we were until I had to get on a plane for 21hours).
I'm attending my first Burn this year, (a 'right of passage', if you will...?) and I'm unbelievably excited. I was introduced to BM by my Alaskan boyfriend, who has been lucky enough to attend the last two burns. He also managed to convince another two Aussies to make the trek from all the way across the Pacific, and they will also be popping their cherries this August.
I'm lucky enough to have landed a spot in the Kosmic Dust camp, and eagerly await a hot, dusty introduction to life on the Playa.

Yes, I most definitely have my ticket (thank god). I've also dedicated a number of hours to the survival/first timers guide, and a number of posts on e-playa too. There is a ridiculous amount of information available, I couldn't believe it. I'm currently in Alaska right now with my boyfriend, and I'll be in the US till the very end of November before I jet off to Europe/Thailand for a little while!
We are arriving San Francisco on the 24th August and I'm eagerly anticipating the rise in temperature!
