Early Entry is hard to get. This year the llc is really cracking down, on the camp ones at least, to make sure the people who are in early are working and that camps aren't selling any. You and your passenger may need to work on a plan b.

Ask the friend of yours who has early arrival to talk to the person who got her the EA pass. Maybe you'll luck out and they'll have a spare from someone who was supposed to be there, but couldn't get a ticket. It might be difficult though--Early Arrival is very hard to get.

If worse comes to worse, you might have to drive your friend up to the Gate and drop them off, then chill in Reno. You friend could also find a rideshare from Reno at http://rideshare.burningman.com or you could take them to the Rideshare desk on the first floor of the Reno airport near the baggage carousel for an on-the-spot ride with someone who has an EA pass. The rideshare desk is informal, but it might work.

If you end up hanging around Reno for a few days there might still be great rates at The Sands Hotel (you'll have to call):

Right-o. I totally spaced that. I think I was thinking of the fact that her friend has a camp waiting--but forgetting that the odds of getting someone FROM said camp to pick him/her up at the gate is pretty low, not to mention disruptive if this were to be done on a wide scale.

Oh well, Duchess--at least you are spared 2 hours from Reno to Gerlach and 2 hours back for a mere drop-off.

They want as few people wandering around on foot around gate as possible (safety), there's no way for them to get to hte city except to walk (safety again), and there's no real way to check to see that they do have a camp with supplies waiting for them (oh joy, another unprepared hippie to roust off the benches at Center Camp Cafe).

Correct - Early Arrivals passes are not transferrable, and placement may revoke either early arrivals or placement for camps they catch sharing, bartering, or trading passes. I put on the mod hat and removed the line from Princess' message - while asking it is a no-no, we're glad to have her on ePlaya!

DuchessAzure is one of my virgins, IF she gets her ticket. Her friend does indeed have early entrance to help us at Retrofrolic and he does have a ticket and a ride. Please forgive the zeal of an excited burgin,,,, IF she gets her ticket, we have an art car to pick her up at gate if necessary.
