Half-time burner

Post by anotheraeon » Wed Dec 28, 2011 10:04 pm

Hello everyone, I just made a faux pas of posting questions without introducing myself, so here it goes.:)

I'm a russian burner living in philly, went in 2010 (double rainbow!!!) with quixote's cabaret club & bar (hello qccb! if any of you stop by here) for the first time. ok, technically i was dragged by my dear friend Diane of flaming lotus girls, but the experience entirely changed my life. Well, I suppose I'm exaggerating, but it was wicked cool :>. Couldn't go this year, last moment work, had to sell my ticket to some guy (at price:> ), blah blah blah. Went to a few local burns interim. It's not quite the same, and I awfully miss the playa. Some time, when you have just the right kind of mindset, you would walk on local delaware mud, at PDF, and, for a second, between all the noise and crazy people, you totally feel like you're back at black rock. The illusion will pass, and you're left with a tinge of sadness (not for long, there are adventures to be had in the now!). In other words, I'll be back next year (or else I'm getting smacking from multiple people at once.)

I'm hoping to connect with more east coast burners during next year, maybe do that whole "drive across america to the playa" thing. I'm probably going to do all that irl, since there's a fantastic burner community here, but I'll be stopping by the forum, asking questions, writing open ended rants to 35k people all at once :>

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!
Elderberry

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

HOW DARE YOU!!!! That is unacceptable and against all etiquette!!!
Just kidding.

Welcome to eplaya!!!
Hopefully you can find all the answers you're looking for. They are in here somewhere, some times they're just very very hidden. Try looking for the answer to any question before asking the question again, but if you have no luck, then go ahead and ask.

You've been to BRC, so that alone answers a lot of the typical 'newbie' questions.

Good luck and we look forward to seeing you in BRC!!!!
Why don't ya stick your head in that hole and find out? ~piehole

i know a lot of people who burn full time..

and for those people i really suggest an ointment that is meant to treat the problem.

something with cortisone
