Hello fellow virgin! That is great news that Fat Tire comes in cans. It is one of my favorites and it will be in my cooler as well.

Welcome to ePlaya! Congrats on finding a favorite in cans, that's always a nice win in the supplies department.

Yeah I get enough of pbr in a can at home and I've heard its the unofficial canned beer of the playa, so just knowing that there is a new quality canned beer makes me happy

Hi Troyboyperez!

Any intro that tells me Fat Tire beer is now available in cans is highly informative, and okay by me . . .

I am a canned Guinness & canned Sapporo girl, myself. Both have sentimental value . . . I first tried Sapporo on the playa. :) In 2001, I was camped near Camp Haiku-4-Beer, and was invited to write a Haiku on a 2' x 1' piece of linen. They then hung it up with a bunch of others on a multi-level Wall of Rope, each haiku threaded with rope @ top & bottom (so they didn't flap in the wind too hard to read) and gave me an massive ice-cold can of Sapporo for my efforts. It was over 100 degrees that day, and I was also in love with the weirdness of the day, so it was literally the best beer of my life. :) I would need to do some digging to remember what it was I wrote, but I remember this haiku written by someone else about the rope wall:

Straw hat caught by rope
My head trapped but flexible
Back out; try again

Oh, Sapporo's not high brow or gourmet, but it is a decent golden lager, well-carbonated and very nice on a hot day. :)

Whoops! I always figured that they wouldn't bring it over from Japan if it weren't special...

It's not Kirin ... which is ichiban!

Craft beer in cans is a movement:

once you have a website, then you qualify as a movement. Or have I misjudged the nature of the 21st century again?
