Hi B420ACE!
Re: Hello from Tampa!!!
My Wife and I made the trip from Tampa in 2011. We're in the lottery this year too, best of luck. Have any travel plans worked out yet?

My name is Brandon I have lived in the tampa area for most of my life. I love to travel and camp and this is something I've wanted to do for quite some time. I participate in our regional burns here in florida and plan to expand and visit other burns in different states. I don't have all the details worked out on how I am getting there just hoping for the tickets right now
I have made a 24 ft diameter PVC dome for our local burn but plan to build a more playa ready dome by the time I get out there.

See, now thats an introduction!
What is wrong with the 24' dome that you couldn't bring it to BRC?

Re: Hello from Tampa!!!
I would just like to have something more structurally sound than the PVC dome. I love my dome dont get me wrong there has been some amazing memories made in it! When my girl and I first started out making the dome we didn't foresee some of the subtle differences that would make it work better in the long run. So now that we have gotten a few festivals under our belt with our PVC we are ready to make take the next step!

That makes a ton of since!
We're (as a camp) going through similar 'learning curves' with our dome cover.

Re: Hello from Tampa!!!
Great to meet others from this area. We have not been able to attend any of the regional burns, but I am aware of the one in Lakeland, Burning Brother in Gulfport, and of course Transformus. Last year we flew to Sacramento & did the RV thing, hoping for a road trip this year. Based on the outcome of ticketing we should be planning that trip pretty soon. The official word is the drawing will be Jan 31 & Feb 1. Good Luck.

Well we were not selected for the lotto so we will be searching alternate ways to obtain the tickets.

Sorry to hear that, hopefully the STEP program will fix all this for you. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
