Hello from the East Coast!
Hello from the East Coast!
Hey All,
Decided to make an appearance on this message board initially due to the ticket "situation", to voice my opinion, but now just to connect to other Burners.
I attended the Burn in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2010, 2011 and hopefully again this year.
I'm from Cambridge MA, and have camped with people from around here as well as folks from NY, CO, CA and beyond.
Looking forward to coming back and making some champaign cocktails for my fellow burners in our video arcade. Last year was an awesome and transformative year for me as I embarked on on whole new life upon coming back from the playa. I've begun to look at BM as the beginning of my year, and the catalyst for many transformations. Also, yeah, it's fucking fun.
So nice to meet you all, hope to catch some of you on the playa (fingers crossed).

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

It's nice to see that "People's Republic..." nonsense on another city besides Berkeley.

Good to see some other Boston area people around; I'm down in Jamaica Plain myself. You've certainly got more playa experience than I do!
Posts from a looong time ago on the board suggested that there was a semi-regular burner meetup over at the Cambridge Beer Company; do you know if that's still going on?

Hi jkisha and shambala!
@theCryptofishist People's Republic indeed! Boston and Berkeley seem to be sister cities in a lot of ways.
@AbundantChoice - I am pretty sure it still happens, Tuesday evenings I believe. I haven't been in a VERY long time.

There are a lot of us hiding around here! Yes, every Tuesday night they have a meet up. I think this weeks is cancelled however.AbundantChoice wrote:Good to see some other Boston area people around; I'm down in Jamaica Plain myself. You've certainly got more playa experience than I do!

Re: Hello from the East Coast!
My father got his degree in one city and taught in the other. Of course, there's always Cambridge, England, where I spent a year when I was 8 and 9, and I left a piece of me there. Sometimes I still long for it...meaghanq wrote: @theCryptofishist People's Republic indeed! Boston and Berkeley seem to be sister cities in a lot of ways.
