Rainbow hair explosion!
Re: Rainbow hair explosion!
Hailing from Sioux City here... glad to see other midwest folk on ePlaya. Hope to see even more in person come August! Love how colorful both your hair & personality seem to be girl! Hope to see you in the dust soon... I may even eat some of it with you, that's how hungry for this each passing day is making me. Can't wait!

I keep telling people I'll eat the dust if it gets me to the playa!

Re: Rainbow hair explosion!
So I don't know how I was so super slow on the 'welcome'. I try to be much quicker.
But, still, welcome to eplaya, seems you've made your self at home!
Last year we tried to arrange a huge party train from Denver to BRC... It failed miserably. What I did find out later is that everyone was actually in Wendover NV/UT at the same time. And a few of us in the same hotel... oblivious to every one else.
We'd like to try to set up the same sort of thing for 2012. Since you're just up in Omaha, maybe we can figure out a way to meet someplace along I-80. Like maybe Wendover, lol.
There is no doubt in my mind that you are going to find a ticket, if you haven't already. You seem like an awesome person, and awesome people always find tickets.

I would love this, to the intensity of a thousand suns!
I'm positive I'll get the tickets I need, my husband and our friend and I are all pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.

She did indeed make it and had a great time by all accounts - we left on Tuesday morning and they were still there

Oh, wonderful! Thanks, Turtleburp!
I'm so glad she made it. She had a wonderful attitude, here . . . I'm sorry I didn't get to meet her.

Re: Rainbow hair explosion!
Hello Everyone!
I am sorry that I dropped off the radar a few weeks before the event, and haven't been on since. Toby let me know you guys were curious if I was going again, what happened, etc!
My husband and I did go and had the time of our lives! We learned new things, saw wonderful things, and did some crazy things which we now use to shock our conservative friends and family. Example: My 70 year old co-worker/friend has it stuck in her head that BM is a giant orgy. I think I've done well, comrades!
Before the event we got swamped with real life. My husband still didn't have a job, I was working way full time and we had several emergencies come up which took away our time and finances. I never really got a chance to log on here between planning, packing, working, etc. The event came and I said, we really enjoyed it. What an experience! Thank you so much to Doc and the rest of the BDC, you made our first year one to remember.
After the event I was completely overwhelmed by real life. I got back to work, Amos got a job, lost that job, and got another which he has now and loves. He gets to pull apart transmissions. We have a cat, Yugo, who started to have really odd symtoms when we got back. Hissing, yowling, urinating in weird places. Turns out that his bladder was completely blocked. He had to have two surgeries, including one which took the only manhood he had left. He is eunuch cat. So, between all of the madness I never got a chance to get back on here, and then eventually it died from my head.
We do plan to go this year, but I'm not sure if we will be at BDC (Sorry Doc, meant to e-mail you about that, but yet again, life. D:), as we have a friend who would like to start a camp with us. This will also be his second year. We want to bring something really fun for everyone to enjoy. It's panning out to be an interesting project.
We did not acquire tickets in the sale, unfortunately. We had bad financial luck and needed to pay bills. We are in the STEP program, but our jeep got totaled and so now there's another concern. We had full coverage and will be fine, but insurance will go up. Lame.
So, Hey there, one and all! I promise I will be on more often!

Hi Finxiekins! Life happens; no one can fault you for taking care of business. I think those of us who didn't meet you you were just glad to hear you made it to the playa.
And now you're in STEP!
Sounds like no one got hurt when the jeep was totaled, I hope.

Amos was not injured, although he did come out with chest and wrist pain due to the airbags. Insurance will be paying for him to see a doctor.
We may also have a car lined up for after insurance, and it's a nice one! Hooray for friends with good taste!
Also, tattoo that sounds wonderful. However, I don't eat meat anymore.
I do miss my bacon bloody marys.
