Hello,
I'm Maria from NY. I've heard and read so much about burning man, and wanted to go to the 2012 event, but couldn't get tickets. I really hope I can make it this coming year. In fact, if I had to choose for only one thing to wish, it will be with no doubt "to go to experience burning man. Anyone knows about the ticket distribution for 2013?
Thanks
I really want to experience Burning Man

The ticket system for 2013 is not yet announced. Get on the Jack Rabbit Speaks distribution list and watch the burningman.com information. There might be chatter on this board about it, too.

Hello Maria!
Welcome to eplaya!
Yeah we're all pretty interested in what the ticket situation is going to be for next year. Stay tuned for more info. Chances are pretty good there will be some sort of information come December for the early sale, if there even is an early sale this year.

Re: I really want to experience Burning Man
anyway Burning Man sucks. Don't go. It's full no more room, try something else, you are too late anyway. you wouldn't like it it's full of hippies/ravers/frat boys/ rich old people doing the bucket list thing. and the music is really loud and rubbish they play dubstep versions of freebird like all the time.

Hi Maria!
Join the Jack Rabbit Speaks newsletter Fishy recommends, here, for all ticket news:
http://www.burningman.com/blackrockcity ... lists.html
And meet some New Yorkers here--they'll have tips and stories about traveling long distances to Burn. You might meet a New York camp, or even a rideshare:
http://regionals.burningman.com/us_ny.html
But be ready to channel all that desire into getting to the Burn by yourself if you have to. Radical self-reliance is a Burn principle. You can camp "alone" (surrounded by new neighbors, actually) or join a camp of Orphans, etc. Lots of ways to Burn.

Welcome to eplaya.
The New York regional group has a weekly meet up - usually in Manhattan on Wednesdays (see the regional mailing list for details).
There are also two major camps based in the city that do big events every month of the year.
