Mini introduction… My name is Lauri, I was nicknamed Tinymystic in High School cuz, I always knew when the cops were going to show up at the party and it just sort of stuck. I am a long ways from High School now, but, I still like a good party! I have done a lot of adventurous things along my journey, it keeps life interesting. I enjoy travelling and meeting all types of eclectic people. I am an artist, photographer, and writer and have a passion for the art of dance- (as a spectator that is). I’m a parent to 4 of the greatest people on the planet! I am currently working as a portrait photographer but my career path has shifted several times over the years from Wedding Planner / Florist to Renaissance Faire Vendor / Promoter, Graphic Designer, multi-media artist and Painter. When I get bored with something I find something new that interests me. Guess that’s the wild card inside of me.
I have a few questions about attending BM that I am hoping some of you can help with:
1: I use a Wheeled Chair-iot as my mode of transportation, fortunately it is powered which brings up the concern of keeping my battery charged on the playa. Any suggestions from the Wheeled chariot pros would be greatly appreciated. (The story of how and why is one to be shared another time another thread, but, to keep the suspense from killing you, in short, I have come to the conclusion that my genetics must be of a hybrid alien nature and my ancestors must have come from a planet where there is no gravity, because here this gravitational pull on my skeletal structure causes my bones to break far easier than the masses. - It’s a much better story than ‘Spontaneous Mutation’ although that’s kinda cool too.)
2: I am hoping to be able to drive my van around on the playa so I will be able to see more of the art and visit more of the camps putting less drain on my chair-iot. Open for suggestions on that, experiences, do’s, don’ts, etc…
3: When I sleep, I require a CPAP machine. So, we are in the process of figuring out a power source plan for that as well. Again, suggestions, experiences, help?
When I say ‘We’ I am traveling and camping with my uncle, who many of you know as the loving, and brilliant FIGJAM, (bucket cooler creator extraordinaire!) and Maryanimal! I look forward to meeting so many of you who know FJ and who he has met in the past years attending.
Attending burning man is more than just an adventure, journey or dream for me; some thing’s in life you know you just have to do or experience. Burning Man for me is destiny. See you on the playa!
