Hello eplaya, new kid on the block from Nola

Post by Two-Wheeled-Adventure » Fri Jul 26, 2013 1:25 pm

Hey hey!

So I'm a birgen, and a virgin to many other things but I'm hoping to change all that in the land dubbed Burning Man. I just started on an epic motorcycle adventure which will bring me to the Artic Circle then all the way south to Argentina. Burning man is just a stop in the road but I anticipate a life changing one to say the least. I'm traveling with a good mate of my from Australia who is also a birgen. New Orleans is where I call home. And my normal day job is sailing on ships as an engineer. I'm basically a curious small boy who enjoys touching things and getting into trouble trapped inside an adult. Here are a few words that just about sum me up;

Travelholic, charming, clever, funny, smart ass, dreadlocks, red beard, non-conformist, saying the wrong things, compassionate, curious, generous to a fault, saying the right things, outdoors, self sufficient, motorcycle enthusiast, working hard, playing hard, driving fast, loud & live music, passionate, bores easily, childlike sense of adventure, couchsurfing, stubborn, good listener, foodie, intelligent, organized, sailor, excellent cook (maybe), simple, complex, engineer, ingenuity, intuitive (in most cases), creative, sane, little crazy, level headed, confident, laughing so hard I piss myself....

I look forward to meeting some of you in person.

Cheers

Was it you or Noam that posted this morning? I think you were trying to figure out logistics?

If this is your first post, WELCOME to eplaya!

Welcome to the site, and good luck with not only the adventure but in figuring out the logistics. Burning Man can be quite a challenge for anyone when packing light, I can only imagine how much trickier it can be when that light pack also needs to cover you on a journey across two continents. If you haven't dialed up the Survival Guide or First-Timer's Guide you'll want to give those a go, then check around the boards as there's a ton of great info to help figure out the logistics.

Cheers!
