Great thoughts FossaFerox and Tamarakay regarding goodwill, and i like the outfit/costume distinction, which had never really occurred to me. Tk, maybe we will slip over sometime and see if we can dye something...your web site is really nice.

I am a similarly seasoned man from Los Angeles. Your playa name will come. Be sure to read the survival guide. I camp with a Multi-generational group who welcomes all ages. Be open. Let me know if I can answer any specific questions for you. Welcome home.

I love the welcome home sentiments...thank you Wigwam. Even though I have never been to the Playa, i feel sort of pulled to it, do you know what I mean? I'm not sure of the source of that feeling...maybe it is to see the money centric parts of the Man that I have become burn or maybe it is to burn some of my pain in the Temple or maybe it is something else entirely, but whatever it is, the presence of that pull helps me understand what you mean by "welcome home" and to receive it with greater gratitude. So again, thank you Wigwam.

This year, I turn 54 on opening day! Nice y'all decided to throw a party for me

I agree, no expectations (except maybe to be prepared for a mega dust storm) is best for your first burn. Welcome to eplaya, and soon to the playa proper!
