First Timers From the Bay Area, CA!

Post by shikaro » Mon Apr 21, 2014 2:43 pm

Hello wonderful and gorgeous people!

For the last three years I have been planning in depth a wonderful trip to burning man; Supplies, food and water, shelter and showers, outfits, gifts and pretty much everything else you could think of. But year after year, it comes down to buying tickets and my friends drop like flies. This year the group was much smaller, but much more dedicated to go, but yet again, no one even tried to get tickets. My girlfriend and I juggled with the idea of going without other people, but instead decided to gift a ticket to one of our best friends who we feel will get the most out of all of this. We were really nervous that she just didn't want to go, so this weekend when we went camping (coincidentally next to burners, barbie death camp I will be taking you up on that wine offer), we told her we were buying her ticket and she broke down in tears. Seeing the happiness on her face is one thing I will never get tired of seeing.

The only problem is tickets at this point. I'm now nervous that we wont be able to get the four tickets we need, so the hunt is on. Can't wait to meet you all.

There should be person-person sales in the Bay Area once tickets are mailed. There are usually last minute tickets when people discover they cannot go, if you can handle the uncertainty of go/no-go a week to a few days in advance. The personal connections you make to burners is a good ticket shaking network too. I've gifted tickets in the past to virgins and it is a beautiful thing.

All is true... The previous years I have attended, I didn't need to purchase through BMORG, just fellow friend from a friend. Pick up one here, another two there.... before you know it, you'll have the four you need.

Just be dedicated in looking, making connections, and so forth... that said, just gott wait for disbursments.
