Hello friends!
My name is Amy aka Hummingbird aka The Doctor (no relation). I'm coming home for the first time from the beautiful north Bay Area and I'm beyond excited to finally play with you all :3 Going to Burning Man has been a dream of mine since I first heard about it at age 14 and I'm still recovering from the shock that this dream is finally in my hands.
A bit about myself: I'm 22 and interested in just about every artistic medium I can wrap my brain around (painting, dancing, music, hooping, sewing, what have you) and I'm also an in home caregiver for an older man named Mark with end stage liver cancer and hepatitis c serving as a guide and companion for the end of his life. My hope is that by coming out to Black Rock City I can make both of our dreams a reality. He's been working on this collaborative video project called The Quest and insists that his life's mission is to share this project with as many people as possible. It's my hope that by reaching out to someone with more resources than myself I can make this happen for him. I will trade whatever it takes to make this happen whether it be manual labor or what have you. On a somewhat unrelated note I don't know much about theme camps or what the process is of joining one but they sound amazing and I'd love to know more.
I am so full of questions and hopes and excitement that I could go on all day, but I'll spare you all and cut it short here :p
