Hello to all from Manhattan, New York!
I am a young finance lawyer in NYC and originally from Reno, NV. I attended Burning Man in 2008 and I am so ready to go back Home in 2015!
For my inaugural Burn in '08, I was fortunate to have a great group of friends to camp with and guide me through the process. I have to say, I am feeling a bit intimidated by the idea of planning a Burn from New York! As such, I am really looking forward to meeting some kind and generous burners on the Boards to provide some guidance and suggestions on long-distance burning (maybe I am just spoiled having lived in Reno during my first Burn!).
Thanks for the kind welcome to the Boards, please feel free to reach out if you're in the New York area and would like to have a round of drinks, and I really look forward to connecting with you all!
Best regards,
~Lawburner.

Hola and hello...
Do you still have a Reno contacts?
Lots more art/burn cool stuff in town these days. Check out the Morris Burner Hotel (FB and .com page),
Reno Burners FB, The Generator.
Reno! YAY!

Oh my god, it's HUGE!
Re: Hello from Manhattan!
Yes! I am back in Reno a few times a year and have certainly observed the growing burn community. When I went in '08 it seemed that Melting Pot was the only place to shop for burn specific items...definitely not the case now! My family, and well as my girlfriend's family, is located in Reno and I have a fairly broad group of repeat-burner friends. I'll certainly be tapping their expertise as well as our respective parents' garage space as the year (and planning) progresses.lucky420 wrote:Hola and hello...

Welcome.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.
