Hello All,
Just a quick note to introduce myself...
A Burner from years past, I'm returning to the Playa. Previous burns: '02, '03, '05 and '07. My friend and I will be transporting an art project from New Orleans currently in the final stages of construction by the Krewe of the Dusty Playa: A Mardi Gras float commemorating the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina (which, incidentally, struck New Orleans less than 12 hours after I arrived in BRC in August of 2005). Look for us, and come say "Hello!"
Looking forward to seeing you all again!!!
Ciao, ciao...

Welcome.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

As one of the former residents of Camp Bayou, welcome. Too bad I'm not there this year, I'd swing by with some southern hospitality in the form of full custom libations. FWIW it's not hard to find Zydeco musicians on the playa.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me
