Your pal Spewey

Post by spewey » Sun Mar 27, 2016 10:53 am

Well hello there! I am another virgin showing up with that fly-tying dancing Moonbeams from about six posts below here. I am truly honored and excited to finally get to get to be a part of this community. I will do my very best to fit in,,,nah, I'm very much a misfit so I won't expect you to believe that.

In case you have the mildest interest, my path away from the straight and narrow started on my first day of school. We started school on a Monday, and by Tuesday we had mastered words with two letters. Wednesday was exam day, and we were quizzed on words of three letters. I was unprepared. Mrs. Thrasher asked me, "Spewey, what is the bird that goes hoot at night?" Well, I grew up right in the center of my little town and had no clue, so I said "I dunno" and hung my head. She said "Spewey, it has a 'O" in it" so I went "oooo." She said, "Spewey, it has an 'W' in it so I went 'OOOWWW.' Now kinda angry, she said, "Spewey, it has an 'L' in it." Finally! My eyes brightened up, and I proudly answered "WOLF Mrs. Thrasher. She was not amused. I trace that back to the beginning of my undoing.

We are very much looking forward to meeting a few thousand fellow travelers and friends, absorbing solar energy, dewrinkling our worry-free clothes, fitting headbands and EL wire to lampshades, and helping with tasks. We are no strangers to desert life but are collecting snorkels and other necessary gear. We are looking forward to learning from experienced burners on eplaya and in our regional community, and I appreciate this opportunity to spew a little bit about myself. Happy Saturnalia!

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

I'm going to just sit down here on the side of the room that offers admiration more to your name and your story and your obvious excitement than your avatar.

Your avatar is a bit sick, actually. The rest is refreshing.
