1st Timer from Vegas!
Hey everyone!
I've wanted to go to BM for years, have tons of friends who go every year but this is the first time I can actually afford and have the PTO to go so I'm making the commitment! I'll be looking to buy a ticket from someone who end's up cancelling closer to the event so I'll keep my eyes posted. I'm excited for the experience, and i think the timing is perfect with life events over the last couple years... I'll be turning 30 about 2 months before the event as well so will be a good milestone year to go. Anyhow, just wanted to make a quick hello to the forum and I'll see you out there!

Good luck in acquiring a ticket! Hope you make it!
I would like to treat my gas pedal as a binary operator and get the cooperation of everyone in front of me!

Hello and Welcome to ePlaya tacticalbeau. Los Vegas has a huge burner community. Tap into that and up your chances of snagging a ticket. Search out events. Volunteer to help with projects. Join FB groups. Plan like it will happen. Good luck on your search. If you make it, look up some of the eplayans or come to the Meet & Greet.

Re: 1st Timer from Vegas!
I know BM sells out but I'm told by a couple ppl that go that typically there will be a decent amount be tickets available from those who end up cancelling for various reasons closer to the event, and that the community tends to frown upon those who resell them above face value so shouldn't be a huge deal to find one? Is this generally speaking true? I'm going to take it as if I'm going and prepare the best I can as a virgin, but I know I won't be able to buy my ticket until June...

Re: 1st Timer from Vegas!
and more importantly, thank you all for the warm welcoming!
Re: 1st Timer from Vegas!
There will definitely be tickets shaking out of the woodwork for the next few months, right up until the event, but it can be a challenge to find them, so "no huge deal" is not exactly what I would call it, but . . . it's definitely do-able.tacticalbeau wrote:I know BM sells out but I'm told by a couple ppl that go that typically there will be a decent amount be tickets available from those who end up cancelling for various reasons closer to the event, and that the community tends to frown upon those who resell them above face value so shouldn't be a huge deal to find one? Join your local Burners and meet some additional people:

You might meet a cool local camp, find a rideshare, or even a ticket seller. (Burners prefer to sell to each other, not strangers.)
And there is indeed a saying about tickets: "Face value or fuck off".
(Scalped tickets, if discovered, can be invalidated by the Ticket Team.)
