My name is Nicolette, I make my home in Portland but I am really from all over the place. I attended Burningman for the first time in 2014, where I finally felt at home and got engaged to my lovely husband. In my personal life, I am a doula, birth educator, student clinical herbalist and business owner. In the next few years I will be attending school to become a midwife.
As for BM, I grew up with stories and photo albums from this amazing place. My biodad was a long term burner and I have ALWAYS feld the call to go. I can't even begin to describe my first experience on the playa, as they always say next year is buttahhh. Anywho, I peruse eplaya regularly as I am an avid researcher and love to be prepared. Currently my hubs and I are making plans for building our own shade structure and canvas tent and so a lot of research is being done on that at the moment.
I felt really fortunate my first year, as there wasn't anything hugely glaring that I seemed to miss. Just minor things, though I am ALWAYS looking for ways to improve. (never again a tiny two person tent omgggg).
