Virgin burners looking to help out
My girlfriend and I are planning our first trip out to Burning Man this year. I won't be able to make it to the actual event, but we're both interested in volunteering on the Playa before to help with art installations. My girlfriend is from LA and likes creating. Are there any artists who could use helpers?

You'd have to have tickets and early entry passes to do that. There's no coming in free early, or everyone would do that to avoid buying tickets.

Welcome. As the Captain points out, helping early on the playa doesn't work the way you envision it. However, helping in LA is entirely possible and can lead to bigger and better things, eventually. Maybe.
