From London to my first BM in 2017

Post by Lond0n » Sun Jun 19, 2016 2:29 pm

Hi all,

Just wanted to stop by and say hello.

I'm aiming to make BM 2017 as my first visit. I was going to try and make this year but I'm overwhelmingly under prepared.

Just a couple of questions:

1) I'd be coming alone. Is this the done thing? I'm usually quite content in my own company but I just wondered if anyone else went solo?

2) kind of off the back of my first question, seeing as I'll be coming alone and don't drive (don't drive as in not a car) hauling enough stuff to set up my own camp doesn't seem like an easy feat. Is there places you can "rent a bed" so to speak? Failing that I'll just have to tow a trailer or something similar.

I'm looking forward to having a look about the forum for tips and inspiration :)

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Welcome.

Plenty of people come solo. Carpooling and ridesharing is common, or take the Burner Express bus. You can have a tiny minimalist camp, or you can make connections and find ways to get logistics support. Lots of options and you're starting early.

So ... what about your interests and ideas and passions? What makes you yourself?
