New burners from Ecuador! Ayay!

Post by olga-gonzalez » Mon Aug 08, 2016 7:57 am

Hi there! I just came back from a trip to Uganda (where I didnt have internet), and got the amazing news that I have a ticket to BM! Im from Ecuador, and I have 20 days to figure out what I'm going to do! I have no idea where I'm going to sleep, how Im going to get there, what should I bring and so on ... :P so any help will be much appreciated!

I'm traveling with another ecuadorian friend, both of us are really passionate about the defense of human rights. Now I am searching different ways of expressing human rights through art, I will like to contribute to a theme camp in this subject (which gives me a big spectrum as everything deals with human rights!) preferably with shower and meals. We are fun and open minded, we'd be happy to contribute to any fees or work :)

Eager to see you at the playa! :)

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Welcome to eplaya Olga gonzalez. Hey. You have a very short time to pull it together from afar. Don't worry about bringing a message or gift. You will find 100 ways to contribute to the community after you arrive. Keep it simple. Just do some reading NOW. Get your self here and soak it all in. Meet and Greet on Wednesday night at 6pm. Barbie Death Camp. Come get a hug and get drunk with us.

Hello olga-gonzalez! :D

Read the Survival Guide linked in my signature below, and make your list using that (it has a starter list). Prepare for extreme temperatures of heat and cold, get military or snowboarding goggles or similar, and make sure you've got a couple of pairs of well-broken-in comfortable shoes.

At this point, if I suddenly bought a ticket and was traveling internationally, I'd try Green Tortoise buses. (I've never tried them myself; can't officially recommend them but I hear good things.)

Note: you have to bring your own tent ( . . . skip the mesh unless it zips closed! . . . ) and your own gear. Last I knew, Green Tortoise provides food and water and transport and it's very communal (you help cook and wash up).

Welcome
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.
