I'm sure this is overdone-- "Like a Virgin--"
--I want to be touched by that dust for the very first time. -- that's not how the song goes, but whatever, it seemed like a good idea at the time XD.
Oi, okay, well where to start? As if my horrible choice of quippy one-lining introduction wasn't good enough, I'll reiterate by saying that I've been wanting to go where many of you call "home" for a few years now, only now it seems like 2017 might actually be the year! Exciting as that is, my head is swimming with questions and "what ifs" and "what do I do?" 's, but I'm sure that there are many virgins out there (and I'm jealous of the ones who don't, ha!) that feel the same! But, this is not what this post is about, truth is, I'm just sort of poo at these introductions. I find it hard to summarize myself in a block of text, but I'll give it my best shot!
I'm a 26 year old female to male, Law of Attraction believer, somewhat cynical yet eternally seeking, self-proclaimed metaphysicist who recently moved to the East Coast from the Midwest. My life revolves around art in all of it's various forms, but I love getting dirty with my hands and wiggling my body to some funky beats. I'm quite down to earth and from what I've heard other's say "Friendly, but weird"-- so I feel like "home" might be a good fit for me! More than anything it just seems to be calling, at this point practically screaming, just crossing my fingers when tickets go on sale because I heard it can be quite the...event.. So I guess I'm on here in the meantime to meet people, make some friends, see if I can be of use.
With all the research I've done, it doesn't just seem like one can just "dive in", more like a complex infrastructure and community and I'd definitely love to be a part of that. I've already reached out to my BM social networks near me in hopes that I can maybe have some veteran burner knowledge rub off on me so the next best step seemed to be going through introductions here! There's a big chance that my first year going might just be me! So along with this weird introduction I'm also going to add the part that I am also open to becoming a part of a camp or group if they feel I might be a good fit for them! I realize that it's hard to go off of just an introduction and some, but got to start somewhere right?
Thanks for sticking it out and reading all of this! I hope to meet you all on the playa this year!
For now you can just call me by my name, Lvcien (I like the roman U because I just like how it looks LOL-- really looking forward to a playa name in the future!)

Lvcien welcome to ePlaya. You are way ahead of the game. Reading, researching and worrying. You'll be fine. Search any subject using Google with 'eplaya' in your search. Most subjects have been covered to death. We would also like to answer those burning questions that are keeping you up at night. Join in the conversations. I'm sure we can learn from you too if you'd let us.

Bring bacon, beer, shelter, and comfortable shoes you already own and know.
That covers the basics.

Welcome Lvcien!
I "dove right in" last year, my birgin burn. Don't be forefraid, do your research, ask questions when needed. Many here are ready help.... with some snark now and again.
