Post by chad_zieve » Mon Apr 03, 2017 9:49 am

hey guys

i am coming to the states from cape town alone in the time the burn is happening, i really would love to come , but i am coming alone with no theme camp or anything.
is there a place to camp if i am alone with a 2man tent?
is it safe to do so, or should i try rent an RV or something small for one person as of the wind.
can not wait to see everyone there. :D :D

Welcome to Eplaya!

Camping alone is certainly a way you can go; theme camp is not required. And a tent should serve you well, assuming you have shade for it.

If you look at the placement image from last year (or any year) you'll see shaded areas that are already claimed by theme camps. Those sections are reserved, but you can camp anywhere that is not already reserved. Just check with the neighbors to make sure it's okay to set up there (that they aren't reserving that space or planning on using it). There is LOTS of space to camp without being in a theme camp, so you'll be fine.

There's a lot of great information on the burning man website. You should definitely check that out; it will answer many of your questions.
It seems that this is my circus, and apparently those are my monkeys.
I'll get the net.

Hey there, welcome to ePlaya!
Elderberry

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me
