Michael, Welcome to ePlaya. This is a wonderful site for research and answers. Start with the Burning Man website. Read till your eyes fall out. (Don't worry. It'll be fun reading.) Start making lists. Keep it as simple as possible your first year. Basic survival gear. We can make suggestions and recommendations. Your prep will depend on your personality. Camp alone or join a camp? Canned soup or frozen meals in dry ice. Build a shade over your tent or sleep at night. Your trip starts....NOW. Welcome.
