Hey there, welcome to ePlaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Welcome Aboard.
Ah, the videos. So sparkly. I have a love-hate relationship with them. Be sure to watch the dust storm ones as well.
A ton of outfits is fun. Look through the Clothing and PLayawear forum for all sorts of ideas and tips. Do you have both warm and cool weather things? Casual, light and simple for camp lounging? Sturdy footwear for exploring and slip-ons for camp? All outfits are non-MOOPy? Anything from "freezing your ass off" to "your blood is about to evaporate" wear?!

Hi, Welcome to eplaya. You will wear a third of the clothes you bring. If it's cold at night, your coat is your costume so dress it up and light it up. It was 110 some days last year so we all sat around in the shade in our undies. I love costumes but lately I'm leaning towards color days. All orange, all yellow. It looks great and makes getting dressed so easy. Welcome

You'll find individual events posted here and there, there will be an online calendar a little later, and you will get a WhereWhatWhen guide at Greeter's, just past the Gate. What's in the assorted schedules may or may not happen as expected.
Keep an eye on the Art and Performance forum, events tend to be posted there as the even approaches. Still very early in the year. The Billion Bunny March tends to be the same day and time each year, but I really don't know that myself.

Welcome to ePlaya!
There are several costume camps, like Black Rock Boutique (Portland), Kostume Kult (NYC) and I'm sure more, may be open to private messages about what has worked and not worked in their experience. We had a costume depot one year in our 125-150 size camp, including footwear, jewelry, accessories, makeup and mirrors. Somehow it got a fancy pair of N*w R*ck boots which were a hit for everyone who wore them. A sewing machine and sewing supplies are useful for repairs. The costume camps accept donations outbound.
Have you met other burners in your area? https://regionals.burningman.org/. The people involved are usually fun, have great parties, and create excuses for costuming, which according to the powers that be are now supposed to be called "Burning Man outfits."
